Bridging The Digital Divide for Incarcerated Men & Women [Re/ Version]

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

On average we spend more money to incarcerate an individual than to invest in their human potential. Taxpayers contribute up to 60,000 per year to house ONE person. While, the average cost to attend Harvard could cost up to 67,000.

To address such a complicated and multifaceted criminal justice system requires the work of many. Re/Version seeks to prepare incarcerated individuals to participate in a digital age economy by providing technical training and investing in their untapped potential. We will leverage industry professionals to lead workshops in Rikers Island for people set to be released within 6-months.

We dare to expand on people’s potential, bridge the digital divide, and change the narrative that surrounds individuals with a criminal history. Will you also dare to do more?
